Shannon Kaminski

Shannon Kaminski was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. At the age of 6 she began dancing competitively with Steppin’ Out Dance Co where she trained under the direction of Donna Johnson, Ashley DeForest-Goletz and her brother Sean Kaminski. She attended The Chicago Human Rhythm Project where she continued her education and was a scholarship recipient. She began choreographing at age 16.

Shannon graduated from Ball State University in 2017. During her time as a student she was a member of the Code Red Dance Team and Outlet Hip Hop Group. She taught at local studios Indy Dance Academy and Cole Academy, worked for BravO! Dance Competitions, traveled across the country to teach at various studios and was the guest tap teacher for Streetz Dance Convention.

Shannon currently resides in Indianapolis, IN where she is the Tap Director at Expressenz Dance Center. In addition to teaching tap to their competitive & recreational program, she heads the Youth Tap Company “NZ TapZ” and “NZ TapZ JrZ”. Each summer she organizes a full tap showcase where students can share their love of the art form with friends and family.
